Kavala Caves

Kavala Caves are limestone caves located 25 km away from the base camp at Dandeli. Kavala caves are situated on the face of one of the mountains in the heart of Dandeli Wildlife Sanctuary.These caves are very tiny in dimension and an interesting way to enter them, after climbing down 375 steps one reaches the Cave entrance.

Syntheri Rocks

Located in Dandeli Wildlife Sanctuary, about 100 km from Belgaum, Karnataka, Syntheri Rocks forms an imposing ravine in the Kalindi river. A gushing waterfall adds to the fierce beauty of this place. It’s too dangerous to venture into the water. So far, it’s claimed 12 lives; so says a board nearby. Yes, Syntheri really rocks, with its 300-ft tall monolith granite on the banks of Kaneri river (a tributary of Kali river).

Syke’s point

Syke’s Point is named after a British engineer who discovered it. It is a breath taking view from this point where you can see deep valleys, thickly forested hills and the most enchanting Nagajhari river flowing into the Kali. This is one of the finest view of the river you can see anywhere in Karnataka. It is lovely to watch the sunset from here or see the giant horn-bills gliding effortlessly from one side of the valley to the other.

Shiroli Peak

Shiroli Peak is another renowned place in the region of Dandeli where people from different parts of the country love to visit. Placed inside Dandeli Wildlife Sanctuary, it is approximately 25 km away from the city. Being the highest point of the region, it offers picturesque view to the travelers.

Molangi

Molangi is situated in the middle of the dense forests of Dandeli. Located amidst large bamboo trees, the place is an ideal camper’s hideout. Between huge rock formations and steep cliffs and slopes, River Kali flows. Apart from being a popular picnic spot, the place is also safe for swimming.
